Hi! I'm Jackie and my superpower is connecting with young people. With over 25 years of experience working with children and adolescents from around the world, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice. As an educator, I dedicated myself to understanding the unique challenges and milestones that shape a child's emotions and behavior. Now, as a therapist, I'm committed to empowering children and their families to build healthy relationships and develop resilience as they grow.
I specialize in helping children build self-esteem, confidence, and effective coping skills using a variety of creative and expressive techniques. As a neurodivergent adult, I find it easy to connect with families exploring ADHD, autism spectrum, and sensory processing disorders. I'm also a certified AutPlay provider.
I like to work closely with parents to identify opportunities to improve relationships and reduce parental stress. If you're looking for help setting limits and boundaries or empowering your child to take ownership of their choices, I offer parent coaching sessions to equip parents with the tools and strategies for fostering lasting change at home.
I designed Playscape to appeal to the young, the young at heart, and those who seek a warm and playful environment where their hearts can be healed. I am passionate about neuroscience and learning more about the neurobiology of relationships and connection.
