Hi! I'm Jackie and my superpower is connecting with young people. With over 25 years of experience working with children from around the world, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice. As an educator, I dedicated myself to understanding the unique challenges and milestones that shape a child's emotions and behavior. Now, as a therapist, I'm committed to empowering children and their families to build healthy relationships and develop resilience as they grow.
I have a passion for helping families with ADHD, specifically children whose parents suspect they have ADHD or children who have a new ADHD diagnosis. With a deep understanding of how ADHD overlaps with other forms of neurodiversity, including ASD, OCD, and sensory processing, I love guiding families through this journey and celebrating the hope that comes with understanding. I excel at explaining ADHD to young kids, helping them tackle questions about medication, big feelings, and social challenges at school. I also loving working with parents to educate them on how ADHD impacts their child and their family, while also offering workable solutions to help at school and at home. I help families celebrate neurodiversity and I delight in helping children with ADHD recover self-esteem, develop confidence, and thrive as neurodiverse people.
My other specialty is working closely with parents to identify opportunities to improve relationships and reduce parental stress at home. If you're looking for help setting limits and boundaries or empowering your child to take ownership of their choices, I offer parent coaching sessions to equip parents with the tools and strategies for fostering lasting change at home.
I designed Playscape to appeal to the young, the young at heart, and those who seek a warm and playful environment where their hearts can be healed. I am passionate about neuroscience and learning more about the neurodiverse brain!
